POETRY - Making a multi modal poetry presentation
Introduction to Poetry
Billy Collins - Introduction To Poetry
I ask them to take a poem
and hold it up to the light
like a color slide
or press an ear against its hive.
I say drop a mouse into a poem
and watch him probe his way out,
or walk inside the poem's room
and feel the walls for a light switch.
I want them to waterski
across the surface of a poem
waving at the author's name on the shore.
But all they want to do
is tie the poem to a chair with rope
and torture a confession out of it.
They begin beating it with a hose
to find out what it really means.

- Finish questions in book , hand them in either electronically or on paper, preferrably both..)If you haven't done many of the tasks by now, find a classmate and talk your way through them( in English, of course!)Make sure you tell me if you choose this way of working with the questions.
- Write a blog entry , a report about the play from yesterday. How will you compare that experience to reading the book, watching the film?
- Check out the Of Mice and Men 'fagstoff' folder. There are several quizzes and revision websites that are quite good. I suggest you start with the BBC one.
- I will pick out one or two groups of 6 students to discuss the book/ the film/ the play with me. Will find another room for that purpose.
